inaugural Challenge.... for Stone Age Cafe!!

This competition will run starting Today, Sunday,
January 29th, 2012 and run until Monday,
February 13th at 10:00 p.m.

A High Score Leaderboard will be maintained, so
posting of level scores will be required. A new game
must be started for the competition.

Gee, MV.... I don't know why inserting a table didn't work for you.  I went ahead and tried doing it in your post and it worked okay for me.... so I've put one in for you to use.  Just hit 'read', 'edit', and try using that table for your level scores.  Are you using the little icon with the pencil stuck in it to try to put the table in?

I am using the right icon, but it won't insert, just tried again.   There are 20 levels in stage one of the game, so I need 21 rows I think.

 Has anybody been able to go back and review their level scores after completing the level?   I have a bad habit of not writing them down as I go along so there are a bunch of blank spots now.  I haven't finished the game if that matters.

Thanks so much, Rob, for helping with the table for MV.  You know MV, sometimes when I pull up a post and it comes up I forget to change "read" to "edit" when, for instance, I am later inserting stuff.  I'm not sure where the problem lies, I'm afraid; I double-checked permissions and you should be able to edit your own posts, that's for sure.  

As to your question, Rob, I'm not sure about whether or not you can go back to the main map and double-check for your level scores.  Anyone got to the end of stage/venue 1?  Also, since I have just started playing it, really, can one go back and re-do levels for better scores?  So those are two outstanding questions.

No problem Cruzer.  In regards to your question I was able to go back and replay levels and increase my score to get expert.  It did reflect the change on the map.

I have finished the first stage, but when I forgot to write down a level score, it was not recorded on the map and I had to redo the level.  BTW, on level 19 I could not get goal after many tries so I switched to easy mode just to get by that level.  I did switch back to normal and will mark the levels I have to do that with an E if that's ok.

Oh MV!  On the topic of tables, I am now officially the persona non grata here at the site!  

So, no... I don't think it's just you having trouble w/ tables.... me, too!  I tried to insert a table in your original post for Stage 2, like I did initially for Stage 1 but.... yikes!  Then, to add insult to injury... look what it did when I tried to fix it!  So what I've done is copy your original table into your most recent post (as you see, with hilarious results).

I just think that  Aimoo must have made some minor configuration changes to table adding/editing so that things don't work precisely as they once did.  We'll just have to deal with it -- and perhaps get help, as they have an excellent topic Help forum.

I do hope you'll forgive me for messing up your post!

How do I take each level's score screenshot? After completing the level I dunno how to check back the score I earned in it so I am being unable to take the screenshot. Can anyone help please?

Shahid --  A screenshot is not required until the final score.  When you complete the game, a screen will come up showing your total for the game.  It is at that time that you will need to capture a screenshot.  I will post directions on how to do so under "How to Do Things Around the Site".

Shahid  --  LEVEL scores are to be submitted as you go along.  You only need Screenshots at the end of the game.  You can insert your level scores by stage/venue into a table if you like; or just type them into a Reply box.  It is a good idea to record your scores on a list for yourself so that you can type them up as you complete each stage.  Any questions, just holler!

Shah, from what we've found, you can't go back and view your level scores after completing the level.  Some games allow you to view them after you finish the game.  No one has completed the game yet to be able to verify that.  I made the same mistake about not recording levels scores and just replayed the first 15 levels.  (I would have done that anyways to improve my score.)  Sorry I didn't have an easier answer.

I am very sorry Shahid; when I said that about recording  your scores I did not make it clear that level scores are not visible after you have completed the level.  Thanks very much, Ljot, for responding to Shahid's post.  It's an unfortunate omission in the game and makes it difficult when one is in a challenge.

 Oh well. I was in Level 12, so, Ljot, my case is definitely better than yours. And the game is good enough for me to replay all the levels I have played and they would also improve my scoring.
I agree, Cruzer, that they should have learnt this factor of going back and seeing the scores, as it was in Cooking Dash 3. (They have already copied most of it's contents.) Well, this again makes me praise Playfirst for making the world follow its footsteps.

Have had a busy weekend, MV, so haven't really played since posting scores on Friday.  I found the game to be very difficult in just the first ~20 levels I did; and you've done 30+... how are you finding it?  Me.... the last several levels I did in the first stage were just about killing me -- and, anticipating that it will get much tougher didn't exactly fill me with glee.  *smile*

I know I much prefer a 50-level game to an 80-level game for a challenge; 80 levels seems a bit much for me, although it certainly gives you more playing time -- more bang for the buck!

Rob and/or  Shahid... how are you finding the upper stages to be (if, indeed you have progressed that far)?

I don't mean to issue a post full of pessimism, but would like all of your input.  Sefke has personal commitments so will not be participating; Steeler has, I believe, a real good start on the game but not sure how far along she has played.  Dusty Bear, I know, expressed an interest, but haven't heard from her as yet.

Rob? Hey, I am not Rob! I am Shahidecc of Playfirst. BTW, who is Rob, seem to have heard this nick name before. So far, I am facing exactly the same challenge as I faced in Cooking Dash 3. Both of these are equally HARD.

Sorry for confusion, Shahid.... Rob is another screen name for ljot.  I was addressing the question equally to you, ljot and MV... as you are the three contributing members to this challenge.  

Personally, I liked Cooking Dash 3 much better; the whole series, really.... but then I, like you, prefer the PlayFirst releases!  Think the game developers they have always chosen are the best of those out there.

Cruzer, I've just finished the 2nd Stage and it does become more difficult.  My strategy is buy the upgrades for customers patience much earlier than I normally do.  Without chaining bonus' you have to make your points by increasing the color multiplier.  By keeping them patient you can pick and choose to boost the multiplier more easily.  It helps that as soon as you seat them on the correct color it rejuvinates all of their hearts.

 I just came across this at the BFG forums:
Yes Level 60 is the last one and its a nightmare  i have master on all other levels but cant get to pass the last one even with regular score! 
any help...... ?

The game just ends without showing any achievements /scores, this is just disappointing

Thanks for feedback, ljot.  Good to know that there are only a more manageable 60 levels to game; not 80, like I thought.  That is useful.  (and comforting, actually.... *grin*)

Chaining does seem different in this game than in Cooking Dash, for example, so I am a bit confused about it.  Thank you for pointing out that patience upgrades are the ones to go for.

I'm sorry you were unable to process the attachment you tried to send with your post.  Unfortunately, since this is not a Diamond (paid) site, "local" (to your PC) attachments cannot be processed.  Huge drag.

Think that altho' last couple days were busy I should be able to devote more time to game today and tomorrow.  Hope to at least keep pace with everyone.

 @Cruzer-Oh! LOL... what a confusion :P Anyway, you mentioned something about chaining but I don't seem to have figured out  any way of chaining. Its just color matching that I am doing so far. And I too prefer Cooking Dash 3, over this game. PF is my favorite game-making company. I wonder f you read that post of mine in which I mentioned that I am buying this game after Hotel Dash 2. Almost 7 months later!
